tissé handmade tapestry
"I have to work with my hands. Creating something with material that changes and to new matter becomes. This need grew during my German studies, which mainly took place in my head. After that I worked at the theater in Hamburg for a few years worked in the field of costumes, but even there everything often remained too vague. Someday I will bought a loom on the internet for fun and tried to make a structure with wool to manufacture. That was right up my alley. For me, weaving means relaxation, colors take control and I am connected to one of the oldest crafts of humanity. My tapestries are created very privately in my everyday life and yet they are
Islands that mean downtime and breaks in their production. This feeling carries over hopefully on the walls of the new owners of my carpets."
